I've worked in marketing and communications roles for technology companies, media and events companies, agencies and nonprofits. I'm a marketing generalist, with expertise in content/writing, customer/partner campaigns and event marketing. I'm comfortable with the "get it done," scrappy start-up world -- having been employee number five at as SaaS startup -- and adept at navigating multi-national, matrixed organizations. I've worked on and led branding and rebranding efforts for a variety of companies, products and events. My breadth of experience includes conducting market and competitive research, creating brand positioning and core messaging, working with creative teams and outside vendors to develop the brand's personality and look-and-feel, managing the brand's launch and monitoring and managing the brand over time. I've created, launched and redesigned countless websites. Along with being the first line of tech support when something goes wrong. (At a startup, there is no tech support for marketing. I learned to love WPEngine.) I have:
I've launched multiple products and events, creating and executing integrated campaigns that combined multiple channels to build awareness and generate leads. I worked with product on market fit and positioning, sales on pricing and collateral needs and marketing and design on creation, execution and analysis. Communications & Content
Over the years, my editorial instinct and nose for a good story have helped me build and nurture brands I worked for. At Immersa Marketing, an experiential agency now part of FreemanXP, I wrote whitepapers, ghost wrote interviews and articles for executives, managed the launch and production of blogs, and websites, along with countless short form pieces -- press releases, article pitches and web copy and more. In fact, one of my pitches resulted in press coverage for Champion Exposition Services in USA Today. At Conteneo, I wrote both short and long form content, including the company's core positioning through two relaunches, monthly newsletters, blog posts, product sales sheets and lead the company's social media content development. I also handled communications and PR, landing coverage in such media sites as Businessweek, the Financial Times and the San Jose Mercury News. Samples and references provided upon request.
